Hamilton Rotary Seeks Host FamiliesHamilton Rotary recruiting host families for French girl for 2012-2013 HCS school year. The Hamilton Rotary is currently seeking families in the Hamilton school district interested in hosting a 15 year old girl from France. Morgane will arrive late August and live in Hamilton until June of 2013. The Rotary will accept two or three families so each can host Morgane for about three – four months during her stay. A typical life for a Rotary exchange student is to become immersed in their new community; attend Hamilton Central School full time, participate in extra-curricular school activities, make new friends and learn what it is like to live in Hamilton. Throughout her visit, she will join other students participating in the Rotary Youth Exchange Program for extended weekend gatherings and traveling to various cities throughout the United States. By hosting a young adult from another country through the Rotary, your family will learn about another culture and country, experience America through the eyes of someone else, learn a new language, make new friends, share a positive experience, and create lifelong memories. You’ll also be an ambassador, teaching someone new about your country, culture, and ideas. You can help bring the world closer by making a small connection at home. For over 75 years, students and host families have broadened their horizons through Rotary Youth Exchange. More than 80 countries and over 8,000 students each year participate in the program, which is administered at the regional level by Rotary districts and at the local level by Rotary clubs. If you are interested in hosting Morgane for the HCS 2012-2013 school year or wish to be considered for hosting in future years, please contact Hamilton Rotary Youth Exchange Officer, Patricia von Mechow, 315.824.1420 or at pvm@twcny.rr.com. | Meet Morgane!
